The simplest tablecloth from a plain fabric can be turned into a solemn one, decorating it with elegant frills. To determine the amount of fabric you need, measure the table perimeter and multiply it by two. Then divide the height of the table into three or four to get the width of each frill, and add 2-3 cm per hem to this value. Sew each frill on the sewing machine along the edge, making two stitches at a distance of 5 mm from each other. Pulling on one thread, pull the fabric along the stitched stitches to form folds. Sew the bottom frill first, and then the next, arranging them so that they cover the seam line of the previous row.
A terry towel will become a stylish accessory if you sew ruffles on it. To do this, cut a strip of fabric 11 cm wide and 2 times longer than a towel. Fold along in half, sew along the edge, twist on the face and iron with an iron so that the inner seam is in the middle of the strip. Sew the strip in two rows, leaving a distance of 2–3 cm between each stitch, and assemble the fabric by pulling the thread. Sew the finished quilling to the bottom edge of the towel.
To decorate the curtains, you can use a ready-made decorative braid; it is easy to find in stores for needlework. First, draw a wavy line on the curtains, then pin the braid to the fabric with the help of pins and sew several wave-like rows on the machine.
All kinds of ruffles, shuttlecocks, frills and bows have always been a sign of romance. Therefore, not having time to appear at fashion shows, these details took their place in the interior. To decorate sofa cushions, you can use lace, fringe, sewing or ordinary lace, just by sewing it on the pillowcase. Imagine as much as you want.
A convenient little thing that not only looks beautiful in the room, but also serves as an additional place for storage. On the hanger you can hang a bathrobe or remove any trifle: hairpins, combs, curlers
Turquoise - the color of the year
Pantone experts chose the turquoise color of 2010. It is believed that it has a therapeutic effect, allows you to relax and get away from everyday problems. An additional advantage of turquoise is that it is in perfect harmony with other colors. Try to combine it in the interior with neutral shades of brown, yellow-green, pink or dark blue. Do not want to radically change your interior? Add a couple of details of a turquoise color - pillows, bedspreads or a vase.
Your bedside table will take on a completely different, more refined look, if supplemented with decorative moldings made of polyurethane. They can be bought at any construction supermarket, sawed along the width of the door or drawers of the cabinet, carefully processed and rounded off the edges with a file. After this, it is necessary to paint the finished strips with paint, let it dry and glue the moldings using liquid nails. In conclusion, you can change the old handle to a decorative one.
